The VPN client version 5.0.00.0340 from the first post in this thread is pretty old and not even available for download from Cisco anymore. Unless i remember wrong that version also contains beta code for Windows Vista so not a recommended version to use especially if using Vista.

I could RDP into servers, Win7 machines, and VMs. Just my new Win10 machine wouldn't allow connection. My fix was the actual firewall on the work computer side. May 31, 2019 · These PC's are old PC's that they do not use - meaning that they have had a fresh version of Windows installed onto them. This has been upgraded to 1903. I have attempted to setup a VPN connection in order to connect the PC's to the company's domain. When doing so, the VPN connection just hangs on 'Connecting to vpn'
Feb 18, 2020 · Solution: Determine if another application conflicted with the service by going to the Windows Administration Tools then make sure that the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Agent is not running. If it is running and the error message still appears, another VPN application on the workstation may need to be disabled or even uninstalled.
